seen such a fundamental change in marketing. The
recession of 2009 is going to change forever, I
believe, the way consumers shop and consume products.
In the new economy less is more and most advertising
falls of deaf ears but marketers continue to use old

Now is the time to transition marketing

The loss of 216,000
jobs in August, which pushed the jobless rate in the
U.S. to 9.7 percent, suggested that companies are not
hiring despite signs of recovery. To say that this is
a mistake would be an understatement. Now is the time
to transition marketing from mass communications to
engagement of the individual and hire people to
provide an excellent brand experience on ALL touch
