Politics sucks

It's a tough choice

A change is needed in Washington ! There is no doubt about that, but can the new President really change things in a city that is for sale? Mr McCain wants to change Washington but if that is so why in the hell did he vote 95% of the time with GWB? Mr Obama talks about change but what the hell has he done in his time in Washington? Both men live in million dollar homes and I am not so sure that they know what it's like to worry about having a roof over your head. I am not sure that they understand that a lot of us are going to be working past retirement because we have no equity in our home. Read More...

Mr Cain has lost it...

machine
Like most voters I was mostly undecided upon whom I wanted to vote for in this election but Mr McCain made it quite easy by choosing an inexperienced person to be his VP. Make no mistake about it this choice is meant to go after the disillusioned Hillary voters and no more. While politicians continue with politics as usual the American people are going to have to raise their voices higher and say "enough is enough".

Time to lay out your plans

obama
There is a temptation to feel jaded about the presidential conventions, with all of their careful staging and production values, but they are a chance for Americans to get a good look at the politicians who would be president. The impressions made at these obsessed-with-prime-time events can be defining. Senator Barack Obama goes into the Democratic convention in Denver with a clear challenge: to match the soaring oratory that brought him to this moment in history with a strong and detailed explanation of how he will address the country’s many dire problems. Goodbye to the Clintons

images
Goodbye to the Clinton era and I for one am glad to see it go. Bill Clinton was not a bad President. Despite his lack of personal integrity our nation did well under his watch mostly fueled by the dot com boom. He had to fend off a lot of attacks from the right that left him and Hillary bitter I am sure but underneath it all was the type of politics that we have come to hate now. The Republicans saw the change coming and that is why people like Karl Rove have been heading for the exit door but the last of "that type of politics" maybe coming to an end thanks to Hillary's big mouth. Learning the hard way..from history

If voters think that any of the candidates can TRULY do anything about some huge problem in this country than they are

sadly mistaken. If history has proved anything it's that politicians will say and do anything to get elected but when they take office they often forget the promises they made to voters. Read More...

Sex and politicans

14528~Stockings-Posters
So sex takes down another politician, this time a governor from New York. While the act of getting an "escort" is not bad there are several things which made this a despicable act. First he was married and cheated on his wife, several time it would seem, but more importantly he was the highest law enforcement executive in New York at Attorney General and what he did violated the law and the oath of his office and profession. A giant ego that put a lot of people on the "hot seat" it is now proof that what goes around can in fact come around. Read More...

Time for a change

images
When the candidates first started lining up I was with Ms. Clinton but now that the election cycle is in full swing I have to say that I have changed my opinion and moved to Mr Obama. Not that I am a democrat, I actually consider myself an independent, but you have to admire Mr Obama's business savvy to outfox politicians from the "old school". Read More...

Iowa does not represent the country

images
Iowa does not represent the country. It is too rural a state and too far removed from the realities of most living in most metropolitan areas so Mr. Huckabee and Mr Obama should not be patting themselves on the back too much right now. Read More...

John Edwards is not MY politican

page0_blog_entry185_summary_1
John Edward pretends he is for "all of us". John Edwards is a multi-millionaire trial lawyer. Since he thinks millionaires don't pay enough taxes, will he donate his $40,000 annual salary from the UNC to the U.S. Treasury? Has he started to calculate what is his own "fair share" of taxes and start paying that, regardless of current tax law? Will he sign a pledge stating he will never "evade" taxes via tax-free investments, like munis? Read More...
