Economics we all learned the law of supply and
demand. Were the airline business people out of
school that month? Every flight is packed yet the
airlines continue to lose money because of high fuel
prices and pretty soon they will be installing pay

New York City has
long been the highest tax jurisdiction in the United
States, but California politicians are proposing to
steal that brass tiara. California faces a $15
billion budget deficit and Democrats who rule the
state Legislature have proposed closing the gap with
a $9.7 billion tax hike on business and "the rich."
There's a movie that describes this idea: Clueless.
If they want to drive people away from California the
idea to raise taxes on business and residents is

The airlines just
don’t get it do they? First they can’t make money
“because their business model didn’t anticipate the
high cost of fuel” and now they are taking away the
last bit of service by charging for peanuts and soda.
How could the airlines not anticipate that fuel would
go up? What the hell are all these high priced
executives doing in the office surfing the

Well for once the
Federal Government is right...rules on mortgage
lenders need to tightened. The poor loans they made
are largely responsible for the mess we are in right
now so new regulations are needed. Among the new
regulations proposed by the Fed are regulations
requiring lenders to explain the "hidden fees" as
well as ensuring that people who get the loans can
afford the loans. You would thing that the mortgage
industry would embrace this proposal but you would be
mistaken.

I was
making a CD for a friend of mine and while I was
combing through my iTunes I realized that there just
isn't any good music out there anymore. I mean I
don't want to sound like an old fart but when I was
growing up we had Hendrix, The Beatles, Cream and the
doors. Now we have Justin Timberlake and Brittany
Spears and frankly neither of them can hold a candle
