Goodbye to the Clintons

What was she thinking? That is the first thing that went through my mind when Hillary made the comment this week about Robert Kennedy. This is def not the thing someone who is Presidential says in public and it is an embarrassment to everyone around her. For me it was as the NY Post stated "the final nail in the coffin". She does not deserve to be President or Commander in Chief.
The missteps of Mrs Clintons campaign are so huge that one has to wonder how she could manage the biggest economy and defense force in the world. Mistake after mistake....way to guarded and please ditch the pants suits which make you look like a soccer mom campaigning for a weekend.
The challenges for the next President are going to be huge among them:
1. Restoring our military and ensuring that they have the right equipment to do the job this nations asks of them.
2. Restoring an open channel of communication with our allies and ditching the "it's my way or the highway" mentality.
3. Getting rid of the big interests in government like big oil and Halliburton.
4. Letting those who commit crimes against us and our people that we will hunt them down to the ends of the earth and that there is no place to hide.
5. Making our enemies aware that we will do what we have to do to safeguard our freedom and ensure stability around the world while not action as the sole world police force.
6. Finally preparing the American public from a working economy to a information economy. This means less blue collar jobs and that our children are going to have to compete for jobs on a global scale. It means longer hours in school and shorter summer vacations but it also means that America can remain stronger for generations to come.
So either Mr Obama or Mr McCain are going to have a lot to do. We should not expect miracles as Mr Bush and Mr Cheney have both damaged this country a great deal. As much as people hate Mr Clinton, Mr Bush may go down as the worst President in our lifetime. Mr Cheney in the meantime has done everything he can to manipulate the constitution and put our soldiers at risk. Mr MrCain is right to distance himself from this administration and I believe someone with his military background would make a great commander in chief.
So hopefully the Clintons will fade away with the sunset. They had their time in the sun but now they are toast that is old and dated.
